I’ve been AWOL…

Firstly, I’m not entirely sure anybody would have noticed and/or cared that I haven’t put up a blog post in a month or so, but it has felt like a gaping hole in my day-to-day, so I wanted to acknowledge it.

However, I don’t want to apologise for it, because I needed some time out to focus on some other stuff. And while I’m being honest, I’m probably not going to rush straight back into it either.

While I’ve had a tonne of content ready to post, I’ve dedicated my editing, SEO, (whatever else) time to things that I’ve deemed to be more important. There’s nothing major going on in my life, but I’ve just been too busy for all of the strands in my life to run smoothly. I sacrificed a few blog posts for some other things and that’s ok.

But this couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve rethought and reframed exactly what I want my blog to represent – and I’ve found that some of it hasn’t hit the mark recently. I’ve never been interested in sacrificing quality, but having done some extensive research into writing recently (and feeling excited about a well-thought out piece of writing), I’ve realised I don’t always execute it well here.

And obviously that’s what I want to do. As a result, I’ve made the decision to scale down the number of new posts I publish per week. I’m not sure if it’ll be one or two yet, (because I so often have a million things I want to talk about) but I’m taking my blog in a slightly different direction from now on, which I’m really excited about.

That’s it for now, but keep your eyes peeled, exciting things coming soon!
