Good evening guys and gals! I hope you’re all enjoying life at the moment and that you’re just about sticking to your resolutions for the New Year! (How long is it acceptable to bang on about the new year? Into February? Hmm…)
Anyway – today’s post is a little different to the usual, a little bit rushed too as I am so busy at the moment sorting out lots of stuff. But I’m going to take 5 minutes to explain why I’m so busy to all of you lovely readers!
If you haven’t heard from my non stop ramblings on Twitter, I’m changing jobs! As of Monday I will no longer be a Marketing Assisant, but a Marketing Executive. Check me out! I’m really excited, I’ve got a lot to look forward to in the new company and it’s also a role which suits my career goals, so I’m feeling really positive about this change.
With the new job comes a new commute (I’m going to be one of those commuters who wears trainers that don’t match their outfit. Who needs to be stylish when travelling anyway?). I’m all set up with a brand new satchel, – thanks Mum! – a gorgeous notepad and lots of positive vibes.
As with any change, it is also nerve wracking and there is no way of knowing how it’ll be until I’m there, doing it all, but I’m putting my best foot forward and I’m feeling very passionate. I’ll be really sad to leave my colleagues this week as we get on very well, but I know I’m making a great decision and that things will only get bigger, brighter and better.
So there’s my news, writing it down makes it feel even more real and I feel like I’ll be counting down the hours on Sunday!
If you’ve got any advice, please do share with me! Even if it’s just where to buy the best blister plasters 😉
Lilly x
