I’ll admit, I’m fairly new to the ‘real blogging’ scene. I used to write a post every 6 months or so. Now, I’ve got myself a schedule, with actual post ideas and plans to update at least twice a week.
So the concept of blogging literally every day for the entirety of this month seems pretty overwhelming. I’ve remained dedicated to posting for the past couple of weeks, but I’m not entirely sure I can dedicate myself to so many posts in such small concentration. The optimist in me believes I can do it!
I’ve come up with an action plan to see me through Blogtober.
- If you read my last post, you’ll know I’ve recently acquired a super beautiful new notepad, purely for blog planning. Well, the timing couldn’t be better! My plan is to turn it into a bullet journal, listing all the posts, goals and dates that I want to write certain pieces. I want to mix it up a little and I want it to keep you guys entertained, so I think this is the best way of doing it.
- I just read about APAGEOFMEBLOG‘s great idea to make October ‘Fitober’ too. I’m so unhealthy and I really want to get back into regular exercise. This one, I can guarantee won’t be daily, but I’m going to try my best to log each day (with some help from my Fitbit tracker!) within my blog posts. (So a summary of today so far, I’ve done a shameful 2,925 steps…the goal is supposed to be 10,000!)
- Finally, I’m going to try and write at the same time each day, by introducing a regular time slot dedicated to the blog, I think I’ll find it much easier to keep it going. Maybe I’ll get up 30 minutes earlier for work…or maybe I’ll write when I get home each day. It’s likely to be the latter, let’s be honest!
So I think that’s me done for Day 1 of Blogtober. See you on the other side, guys!
